Approximately 88 cm in diameter. The original pattern recommends MEZ Anker Liana size 10, 5 balls, plus size 2 knitting needles and size 2 crochet hook. Cast on 8 stitches and join into a round. Knit two rounds. Knit according to the chart beginning with round 3. In all the rounds not shown on the charts, knit the stitches as you find them: knit, ktbl, purl, etc.
In rounds 52, 110 and 150 increase the 3 side-by-side yarnovers to 11 stitches. In rounds 58, 116 and 156 increase the double yarnovers to 7 stitches. In rounds 60 and 118 increase the 3 side-by-side yarnovers to 8 stitches.
In rounds 89 to 141 repeat rounds 31 to 83. (16 repeats per round.) From round 149 repeat the pattern 32 times per round. In round 183 crochet off the groups of stitches as shown each with a single crochet stitch, with 12 chain stitches between groups.
