FdA 816 Mosaïque de Dentelle

Tablemat composed of 28 squares of chart A and 18 squares of chart B. Dimensions: Length 90 cm, width 55 cm. The clipping I have of the original does not include the instructions, so I'm not sure how the squares are grafted together. It looks as though you would knit all 18 chart B squares first, from outer edge to center. That would mean casting on 160 stitches, join into a round, repeat the pattern four times per round. Cut the thread after the last round and run the tail through the remaining stitches, pull together tightly, and tie a knot. Block the squares to the same size. As for chart A, it looks as though you would cast on 12 stitches, join into a round, knit one round, and then beginning with round 3 repeat the pattern four times per round. After round 30, crochet the border with a crochet hook. I'm guessing you would crochet each group of stitches together with a single crochet and chain several stitches between the groups. As you crochet the edging of a chart A square, join it to one or more other squares according to the schematic. Not sure specifically how that would be done, though. If anyone has a copy of the instructions, or figures it out, I'd love to hear from you, if you feel like sharing.

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
