Dreiteilige Garnitur mit Gehäkelter Mitte

Size: round doily 19cm diameter, oval 34x14cm, square 14x14 cm. Materials: fine crochet thread no.100, dpns size 1.5 [presumably mm], crochet hook 0.6mm.

Round doily : chain 6, join into a ring with a slip stitch. R1: (ch12, 1sc)15times into the ring, finish with ch6, 1dtr (this serves to achieve the offset for the following round). R2-5: Like R1, work the sc around the chain loops of the preceding rd. After that, transfer 4 chain loops each onto 1 dpn. Work 8 knit sts into each loop, then 2 rds plain knit. Now start following the chart, repeating the chart 16times per rd.. Uncharted rows are worked in plain knit except double yarnovers (1k, 1p). fter rd 36 crochet off, gathering 5 sts each into 1 sc, working 12 ch in between.

Oval doily: Ch 182 and mark the last ch (with a coloured thread or stitch marker). Now work (ch12, sl12, ch1) 14 times. Into the last ch, work (1 trtr [see note below], ch12)5 times (substitute the first trtr by ch6), finish by 1 trtr, making 5 chain loops for the “corner”. Continue on the other side of the base chain with (ch12, sl12, ch1)14 times as before. Work the second “corner” into the previously marked ch st like the first “corner”, i.e. 6 trtr separated by 12 ch each. Finish the rd with ch6, 1 dtr (cf. remark for the round doily above). Work 3 more rds of (ch12, 1sc)40 times, closing the rds as before. [I would guess there are only 14+4+14+5=38 loops. Take care, you need 40 loops to continue. The description of the corners does not seem fully concise.] Break the thread and weave in. Starting at one of the corners, put 10 loops each onto 1 dpn, then work 8 sts from each loop and knit 1 more row across before starting with the chart. Work (the part to the right of the bold line once, then 10times the part between the bold lines, then once the part to the left of the second bold line) twice. From R13, work the part to the right 11 times, then once the part to the left. After rd26 crochet of, gathering (1x6, then 35x5)2x sts into 1 sc, working 12 chains in between each sc.

Square doily: Work the crocheted center as above for the round doily. Distribute the 16 loops onto 4 dpns, [knit 8 sts into each loop, then work according to the chart [nothing is said about 1 or 2 plain knit rds here]. For rds 17-25, work the framed sts 3 times each, in rds 27 and 29 twice each [in order to generate the corners]. After rd 30, crochet off gathering 5 sts each into 1 sc, working 12 chain sts in between.

Note: A very tall dc-like stitch with 4 yarnovers, I am not sure about the English term
