Round Cosmeablüten

cast on six single crochet stitches into a magic ring. In the second round, increase to 12 single crochet stitches. Close with a slip stitch. Pick up the back loop of every second stitch and distribute across three needles (or use circular needle if that works better). Knit according to chart A, six repeats per round.

For the center, work 6 single crochet stitches into a magic ring. In the second round, work 12 single crochet stitches, then close the round with a slip stitch. Pick up the back loop of every second stitch with one double-pointed needle and distribute it evenly across three needles. Then work 6 pattern repeats per round according to Chart A. In the 49th round, note the stitches inside the black outline. In the 50th round, bind off those 10 stitches. In the 51st round, pick up 1 stitch each from loops 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 through the back loop. After the 66th round, bind off the stitches with a crochet hook: combine each group of stitches as shown in the last round with a single crochet stitch. Chain 13 stitches between the groups of stiches.

Oval Cosmeablüten

Knit Chart A as described above to round 22. Then begin the side sections: Over the 30 stitches of the 1st and 2nd, as well as the 4th and 5th pattern repeats, knit according to chart B, knitting flat and purl the return row. In the 2nd row, knit 10 stitches from the single yarnover; in the 6th row, bind off the 10 outlined stitches. In the 7th row knit 1 stitch through the back loop of the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th bound-off stitches. When you finish the first side panel, leave the 44 stitches of row 26 on the needle and pick up 13 stitches along the edge stitches, knit the stitches of the 3rd repeat and then begin the other side piece. When you reach the 26th row of the second wing, pick up 13 stitches along the edge stitches, knit across the 5th repeat and pick up 13 stitches from the edge stitches of the first wing. 170 stitches

Return to knitting in the round. Beginning of round is the 1st stitch over section B. Work the pattern repeat according to chart C twice. After the 4th round, work the section according to chart A from rounds 23 to 58 fourteen times. Finish the model according to chart D, also working 14 times. Crochet off as for the round Cosmeablüten described above.
