Campanille/Le Campanule

This was a time-consuming pattern to rechart. Three different sources, one of which was a secondary source. Different layouts, too. Either group the repeats in differently-colored rectangles, or make huge charts with every single stitch shown. I decided on the rectangle-outlined repeats, but it does make for somewhat dizzying charts.

Size: 60 cm diameter. Materials: Size #100 crochet thread and size 1 knitting needles, or use the size of knitting needles that produces the fabric you prefer.

Cast on 6 stitches, join into a round and knit according to the charts. Repeat the pattern 6 times per round up to the 154th round; after that round repeat the pattern 18 times per round. Knit the rounds not shown on the charts. After round 252, use a crochet hook to bind off: enclose the number of stitches indicated in the last round with a single crochet. Chain 12 after each group.

Remember:

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
