Zierdeckchen 085/17
Materials: 10 g MEZ size 100 crochet thread, size 1.25 mm knitting needles and size 0.60 mm crochet hook. This chart can be used to make three different doilies:
Completion after the 30th round: 11 cm in diameter.
Completion after the 56th round: 21 cm in diameter.
Completion after the 74th round: 29 cm in diameter.
Instructions: Cast on 6 stitches, distribute onto 3 needles, join into a round and knit according to the first chart (1-30). Repeat the chart 6 times per round. Knit all rounds not shown on the charts. Where there are double yarnovers, in the next round knit the first loop and purl the second loop. After the 30th round, work a crochet bindoff: crochet three stitches together with a single crochet stitch and chain 8 stitches after each single crochet. Continue until all stitches have been crocheted. Replace the last chain with 4 chain stitches and 1 treble crochet to complete the round.
There should be 48 chains/loops around the doily at this point. To continue, place 12 loops onto each of 4 knitting needles and continue according to the chart from round 31, repeating the pattern 16 times per round. Knit rounds 54 to 56. After the 56th round, work a crochet bindoff as before, this time crocheting 4 knit stitches into one single crochet and chaining 9 stitches after each single crochet. After the last single crochet, chain 4 stitches and 1 treble crochet to complete the round.
There should be 96 chains/loops around the doily at this point. To continue, place 24 loops on each of 4 knitting needles and continue according to the chart from round 57. After the 74th round, crochet off the stitches as before, this time this time working as many stitches together into 1 single crochet as shown in round 75. Chain 11 after each decrease.
