Waldesgrund

Also called "Fleurs de Pivoine." You can see a photo of several projects in the Ravelry data base. Material: crochet thread size 100 and knitting needles size 1 mm.

Cast on 1 stitch and begin chart A by increasing 1 stitch to 5 (row 1). Knitting back and forth, repeat rows 1 to 50 three times, purling the return rows. You will have three diamond shapes, connected to each other by one stitch. Pick up 25 stitches on each side of each diamond, so that you have 300 stitches in the round.

Follow chart B, knitting in the round, and knitting all the rounds not shown on the chart. At the tips of the oval, knit the stitches between the strong lines 2 times. To do this, in the first round, make 2 yarnovers at the 2 opposing tips. You will have 10 sets of patterns in the round (3 on each long side, 2 pattern sets on each tip.

On round 35 knit the first 2 stitches, then place the first stitch marker and begin the chart (or -- move the stitch marker two stitches to the left). On round 81 move the stitch marker to the left one stitch and then start the pattern. After round of 86, bind off with a crochet hook, chaining 9 stitches between the decreases.

Remember:

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
