Viola 5905 and 5904
Niebling used this motif in several designs, notably Wiesenflor and another Wiesenflor--Violettes with a very similar design. There are two charts on this page, one for a round doily, 22 cm in diameter, and one for a square doily, 16 cm square, so they are both small and easy to knit.
Material: approx. 25 gr. crochet thread size 70, size 1 knitting needles and size 10 crochet hook.
Round doily: cast on 12 stitches and knit the pattern 12 times per round, using the chart "Viola 5905." Use a crochet hook to decrease as shown in round 61, decreasing groups of stitches with a single crochet and then chain 14 between decreases.
Square doily: Cast on 8 stitches and join into a round. Knit chart 5904 four times per round. Use a crochet hook to bind off, decrease as shown in round 55 with a single crochet to decrease each group of stitches and chain 14 between decreases.
Wrap Stitch: Each chart has wrap stitches. Here is how to do them: Slip 3 or 4 stitches, as indicated by the chart, to an extra needle such as a cable needle. Wrap the working thread firmly around the stitches 15 times, and then knit the 3 or 4 stitches off the extra needle onto your right-hand working needle.

Remember:
- Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
- I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
- Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
