Traube
This doily was originally published in Meyers 36, and as far as I can find, never reprinted. I have the original pattern although not in good condition, so I recharted it. I fixed one mistake, where I found that there was a discrepancy in the number of stitches used and produced between two rounds.
The original pattern calls for crochet thread size 100 and size 1 needles (old German sizes?). Knit with this fine thread, the doily measures about 30 cm in diameter. Of course, the final result depends on the thread or yarn you choose, and the size of your needles. Cast on 8 stitches and join in a round. Knit each row of the chart 8 times per round. All not specially designated rounds are knit, unless there are 2 YOs side by side, in which case, knit 1, purl 1. After round 92, the stitches are loosely chained off. No suggestion is made for any specific edging. A chance to use your imagination or your favorite edging!
Remember:
- Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
- I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
- Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
