Strahlenmohn

This is a Niebling published in Burda in 1965, I believe. It is a 50 cm round cloth, if using the thread and needle size recommended. Material: 30 g MEZ shiny crochet thread No. 60. Knitting needles No. 1.5, crochet hook No 1.0.

Instructions: Cast on 16 stitches, distribute on 4 needles, join in a round, knit 4 rounds. Then follow Chart A, repeating the chart 8 times in a round. On the even-numbered rounds, knit the stitches as you find them: knit the knits, purl the purls, knit the twisted stitches through the back loop. Where there are double YOs, knit the first loop and purl the second loop on the following round. Chart B is shown in two parts, left and right halves. Print them out and tape them together to see the complete chart. After round 122, decrease with a crochet hook according to round 123. Chain 10 stitches between the decreases.

Right-click on each chart to see a larger image. Choose "view image" or whatever choice your browser offers. To download, right-click on each chart and choose "save as." The full-size chart will be saved.

Remember:

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
