Sonnenglöckchen
15x33 cm in length. Material: 10 g size 150 crochet thread, size 1.25 mm knitting needles.
Cast on 8 stitches and join into a round. Repeat the pattern in chart A two times per round. Knit chart B flat on 54 stitches between the green arrows at the top of chart A. Place the remaining stitches on waste thread. Knit chart B again over 54 stitches on the opposite side of the center of the doily. You should have one remaining stitch at each end and 30 stitches on waste thread on each side. Pick up 100 stitches on each side of the wing (chart B), including the single remaining stitch, and pick up the 30 stitches on each side of the doily center for a total of 460 stitches. Purl 4 rounds and then knit the edging following chart C.
Note the 4/5 decreases: slip 5 stitches, knit 4 stitches, pass over the 5 slipped stitches, which decreases 9 stitches to 4. After finishing round 26 of the edging, bind off with a crochet hook, decreasing with a single crochet, as shown in the last round. Chain 10 between the decreases.
