Seenelke
Seenelke is an odd little pattern. Instead of the usual graceful curves and arches of the more mature Niebling patterns, this one is chunky and square, in spirit as well as in appearance.
Cast on 8 stitches and knit the pattern four times in the round. Notice that Chart B is in two parts, Chart B-Left and Chart B-Right. I think it helps break up long lines of knitting that can confuse the eyes. The yellow line across both charts is just another aid for the eyes. Knit Round 57 on Chart B-Right and then Round 57 on Chart B-left. Repeat this for the next three sides of the doily. Then knit Round 58 (not shown on the charts). Next knit Round 59 from Chart B-R, and then from B-L. Repeat again for the next three sides of the doily. Knit Round 60 (not shown on the charts). Continue this way until both charts B are finished.
After the final row, bind off stitches in groups as indicated with a single crochet stitch and crochet hook. Chain 15 between the decreases and join the last ch15 with the first decrease to complete the round. Tie it off, weave in ends and block. If you feel really kind, post a photo in your projects on Ravelry and link to this page so I can see the photo one day. I know I'll love it!
Remember:
- Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
- I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
- Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
