Schleuderblatt

I found this pattern written in the Estonian language. I had the dickens of a time translating it and understanding it. Then it occurred to me it looked an awful lot like a Herbert Niebling pattern. I looked through the HN patterns in the Ravelry database and found Schleuderblatt. I compared the patterns and they were the same. So, here is Schleuderblatt fully charted.

Depending on the size of thread or yarn and needles used, the size varies but it is meant to be approximately 40 cm when using size 60 cotton crochet thread.

Cast on 8 stitches and join into a round. Knit one round and then begin following Chart A. Repeat the chart 8 times per round. On even-numbered rounds (not shown on the charts) knit the knits and purl the purls, knit the YOs. Then follow Chart B. Decrease as indicated in the last round with a crochet hook and chain 12 between the decreases.

To see larger images, right click on a chart and choose "view image" or whatever your browser offers you. Download by right-clicking on a chart and choose "save as." The download will be full size even if you click on the small image on this page.

Remember:

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
