Scabiosa (Skabiose)
Skabiose is a doily designed by Herbert Niebling and published in Beyer 2036, in 1953. This is one of the my first attempts at re-charting a Niebling pattern.
There are a few Niebling patterns similar to this one, such as Malve. You can see a photo of this doily and a list of similar Niebling patterns here.
Cast on 8 stitches and join them in a round. Follow the first chart, repeating the pattern 8 times in the round. Repeat the border 16 times per round.
Remember:
