Primula/Sybelle

This Niebling pattern is called "Primula" in Kunstbreiwerk B39, but is called "Sybelle" in other sources. It is shown as an oval, but I think could be more easily blocked into a circle or a hexagon.

Size: 27 x 37 cm stretched oval. Material: 10 g crochet thread No. 120, size 1 knitting needles and size 12 crochet hook.

Instructions: Cast on 12 stitches, then work the diagram 6 times in the round. Knit rounds 78 to 82 with doubled thread. Notice that even rounds are not shown, except round 98. On even rounds, knit the knits and purl the purls, knit through the back loop where you find ktbl stitches from the previous round. In round 98 increase the three YOs from the previous round into 13 stitches, alternating knit and purl stitches. Knit all 13 stitches in round 99, of course. In round 105 decrease as many stitches as shown with a single crochet. Chain 12 between the decreases.
