Oval Decke
I think this is an especially charming little tablecloth, or doily, or table runner by Herbert Niebling. It is the cover pattern of Beyer Bunte Reihe Band, 7004.
Small oval tablecloth by Herbert Niebling. 42 cm by 62 cm. Material: 20 g crochet yarn, needles and round embroidery needle No. 1.5
Instructions: The doily consists of 9 internal single motifs and a rim. Start a motif in the middle with 12 stitches, close round, and knit according to Chart A, repeating the chart 6 times in the round. Knit the unnumbered rounds. In Round 4 increase 7 stitches into the 3 YOs of the previous round, alternating between knit and purl stitches. After round 23 put all stitches on waste thread. Make 8 more motifs in the same way. Join 9 motifs according to the photo, using the Kitchener stitch or any method you prefer.
When all 9 motifs are joined together, pick up all the stitches around the outside edge. I'm afraid I don't understand the instructions for the second part, but perhaps someone who reads this will contribute the instructions!. My copy of the original is damaged at this spot.
Right-click on each chart and choose "view image" or whatever choice your browser offers, to see the full image.

Remember:
- Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
- I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
- Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
