This is a lovely tablecloth with bands of leaves and flowers. Depending on the size of the thread or yarn used, the tablecloth is 90 cm to 130 cm. The original pattern recommends 80 g of "shiny" crochet thread size 60 with size 2 knitting needles, including circular needles 50 cm and 80 cm long, OR size 50 crochet thread and size 2.5 needles for a larger tablecloth. The pattern also calls for a size 10 crochet hook.
Cast on 8 stitches and join into a round. Repeat the chart 8 times per round, in rounds 1 through 100. Repeat the chart 16 times per round in rounds 101 through 203. Knit the rounds not shown on the charts and where there are two YOs together, knit the first loop and purl the second loop. Ktbl stitches should be ktbl also on these resting rounds.
After rounds 204 through 208 (all knit stitches), repeat the pattern for rounds 209 through 217 48 times per round. (960 stitches). Notice that for these rounds there is no resting round between pattern rounds. All rounds are pattern rounds. After round 222, use a crochet hook to decrease as shown in the last round and chain 12 between decreases.
