Taschentuch mit Weißen Spitz

Handkerchief with a white lace edging

This lovely lace is meant for a lace edged handkerchief, but I think the lace is suitable for any purpose. Width of the lace: 7 cm. Material: Anchor lace yarn (204m / 10g), size 1.5 mm knitting needles, size 0.75 mm crochet hook, a 26 x 26 cm white handkerchief.

First crochet around the handkerchief with single crochet stitches, working 1 single crochet in each puncture point and 3 single crochets in each corner. You need a multiple of 16 stitches for the repeats along the sides. Pick up stitches, one per single crochet, starting 16 stitches before one of the corners. In other words, your beginning of round marker should be placed 16 stitches before one of the corners. Then continue working as follows: * work the pattern one time, then at the first corner, knit only the stitches between arrows a and b (= corner) 1 time and then knit the entire pattern the repeat 5 times, repeat from * 3 times.

Use a crochet hook to decrease stitches in the last round, as shown on the chart. Chain 5 between decreases.
