Königsglocke (Royal Bell)
Königsglocke is a doily published in Kleine Deckchen in Kunststrickerei, Vorlage 62 (Beyer), designed by Herbert Niebling. It has a beautifully simple design, fairly easy to knit. Knit the charts in alphabetic order, starting with Chart A, then Chart B and so on.
45 cm in diameter. Material: 30 g of light-colored fine artificial silk for crochet, and steel knitting needles No. 1. Cast on 6 stitches and join in a round. Repeat the chart 6 times in the round. Knit even rows (not shown on the charts), except where there are double YOs from the previous row, knit the first loop and purl the second loop.
In rounds 73-88, work the stitches up to the first red line once. Then work the stitches between the red lines five times. Finish by knitting the stitches after the second red line once. This finishes one repeat. Do this again in each of the remaining five repeats.
In rounds 89-104, work the stitches inside the red lines four times. In the 105th to the 110th round repeat the outlined stitches 2 times next to each other. After the 110th round, knit 2 rows then bind off with a crochet hook. Crochet together the number of stitches shown on the chart, then chain 12 between the decreases. You can right-click on each chart, and select "view in another tab", to see a larger image.
Remember:
- Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
- Do not copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
- Do not sell copies of these charts. HN was an artist. Let's share his works, eh? If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
