Hübsches Decke

I'm not sure of the source for this pretty doily (that's a literal translation of the name), although I suspect it might be Le Tricot d'Art based on the scrap of the original pattern that I have. It's another riff on a ubiquitous design, and very delicate. There are eight central petals and then a ring of twelve leaves. I looked through all the Herbert Niebling patterns on Ravelry (which took a while!), but didn't see this one so it is likely not a Niebling pattern. Very pretty just the same. Right-click on the chart and choose "view image" or whatever choice your browser offers, to see a larger image. Cast on 8 stitches, join in a round. Knit Chart A four times in the round. Knit Chart B 12 times in the round. Bind off with a crochet hook. Crochet three stitches together with a single crochet, chain 8 stitches between the decreases. Join the last ch8 to the first decrease to complete the round.

Here's a photo of the one I knitted recently. Sorry I'm so bad at blocking! But I have to say this is a really easy pattern to knit and I hope you try it.

Remember:

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
