Glöcklein

This pattern consists of two charts, one used for make a large hexagonal, and the other for making a small hexagonal. You can also make a small square doily with the second chart. Sizes: The larger, hexagonal doily made of size 150 crochet thread and size 1/0 knitting needles will be about 16 cm in diameter. If made with medium-thick silk with size 2.5 knitting needles, it will be about 25 cm in diameter. The smaller, hexagonal doily made with similar threads will be respectively 12 or 18 cm in diameter. The small, square doily will be 8 or 14 cm in diameter, using the same sizes of thread.

Cast on 6 stitches and join into a round. Follow chart A to make the larger hexagonal, or chart B to make the smaller hexagonal. Repeat the pattern 6 times per round. To make the small square doily, cast on 4 stitches and join into a round. Follow chart B and repeat the pattern 4 times per round. When finished, use a crochet hook to bind off, making the decreases in the last round with a double crochet, and chain 12 stitches between decreases.

Remember:

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
