Glöckchen
I think this is one of the prettiest Niebling doilies, with graceful bell-shaped blossoms curving out from a central star, with a typical Niebling mesh background. It is 60 cm or 105 cm in diameter depending on the size of needles and thread or yarn used. The pattern recommends 60 g of fine artificial silk and size 1.5 knitting needles, or 300 g of MEZ Argento artificial silk (no size given) and size 2.5 knitting needles.
Cast-on 6 stitches and join into a round. Beginning with Chart A, repeat the pattern 6 times per round. Knit all even-numbered rounds, and where there are 2 yarn overs next to each other, knit 1 loop and purl 1 loop. From round 109 repeat the pattern 12 times per round. Note the three YOs in round 139. In the next round -- 140 -- increase the 3 loops to 13 stitches. After round 152, decrease 4 or 5 stitches together with 1 single crochet and chain 13 chain stitches between the decreases.
