Fuschias

A very pretty doily -- this one is a puzzler. It really looks like a Herbert Niebling pattern. All I have is a couple of clippings from a magazine, a photo and a chart. There's no name on the pattern, it's just called "un joli napperon" which just means it's a pretty doily. Because the text is in French and the layout and style of the magazine clipping is familiar, I think its from Femmes D’aujourd’Hui. The pattern is named "Fuschias" in the Ravelry database, but I am not sure why. Also, there isn't any confirmed evidence that it is a Niebling pattern, but, again referring to the Ravelry database, I'm not the only one who thinks it is.

Cast on 6 stitches, join into a round and knit according to the chart, repeating the pattern six times per round. Do the decreases in round 75 with a crochet hook, using a single crochet for each decrease and chain 10 to 12 stitches between decreases.

To see a larger chart image, right-click on a chart and choose "view image" or whatever your browser offers. You'll see the complete image. If you right-click on any image and choose "save as" you'll download the full-size image.

Remember:

  • Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
  • I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
  • Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
