Size: Executed in crochet thread no. 80: 27 x 47cm. Executed in crochet thread no. 50: 34 x 58cm. Supplies: 15 gr. of crochet thread no. 80 (6 thread cord) or 25 gr. of crochet thread no. 50; 5 knitting needles no. 2, a hook no. 12 for wire no. 80 and 10 for wire no. 50.

Execution: Cast on 8 stitches, i.e. 2 stitches on each of the 4 needles and knit in the round with the 5th needle. Knit the rounds not indicated except the purl stitches of the previous round, which should also be purled. Knit 2 rounds then begin knitting according to chart A on round 3. After the 40th round, knit rounds 1 to 87 of Chart B across needles 2 and 3, leaving needles 1 and 4 on hold. Knit flat, and on return rows, knit the stitches as you find them: knit the knits, purl the purls. In rounds 1 to 69, knit the entire chart, then knit in reverse the stitches before the bold line. On the 88th round, place the remaining stitches on a safety pin.

Repeat on needles 1 and 4 to create the second point of the oval. Pick up 352 stitches around the oval, including the remaining stitches at each end of the oval. Knit according to chart C as follows: Repeat for each round 8 times following the entire described round then 1 time what is between the bold lines, 8 times following the described round then again 1 time what is between the bold lines. The part between the bold lines represents the points of the oval. On the 16th round, knit 11 stitches from the 3 yarn overs from the previous round. After the 20th round, crochet off the remaining stitches as shown in the last round, join groups of stitches as indicated on the chart with single crochet, and chain 11 between single crochet stitches.
