Eiche (Centro Ovale)
Published in Lavori Artistici a Calza 5, designed by Herbert Niebling. There is also a round version published in other sources, with the same leaves, also designed by Herbert Niebling. 65 cm x 100 cm. The oval pattern from Lavori consists of two parts: the central unit knitted flat, and the border/edging knitted in the round. You can see a photo here
.Central part: cast on 7 stitches and follow Chart A, purling the return rows. After the 46th row, repeat rows 43-46 again, until you reach row 190, then follow the second part of Chart A. Border: pick up 360 stitches around the oval (2 at each tip, 176 along each side). Knit the first four rounds, then begin following Chart B at round 5. Knit all the intermediate rounds. Bind off with a crochet, decreasing as shown in the last round on Chart D. Chain 12 between the decreases.
Don't forget to right-click on each chart and select "view image" or whatever choice your browser offers, to see the full-size image. When you right-click on a chart and choose "save as" the full size chart is the one that will be downloaded.
Remember:
- Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
- I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
- Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
