Distel
This pattern was published in Beyer 228, in 1931. Although Herbert Niebling did design a pattern called Distel (thistle), this isn't it. There is no designer identified so the Ravelry database attributes it to the Beyer Verlag design team. There is only one project shown on Ravelry, a beautiful shawl by the very talented Elena Gotlib. Her page links to the database page for the original pattern.
Instructions: Cast on 8 stitches, spread on 4 needles, close in a round and knit according to the chart, repeat the pattern set 8 times. All intermediate rounds are knitted, but where there are two YOs, knit the first loop and purl the second loop. Bind off with a stretchy knit bind-off, or bind off with a crochet hook.
Right-click on each chart and choose "view image" or whatever choice your browser offers, to see a larger image.
Remember:
- Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
- I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
- Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
