Dahlienkranz

Material: 15 g size 60 crochet thread and size 1.5 needles, or 50 g size 30 crochet thread and size 2.5 needles.

Instructions: Knit 8 motifs with Chart A. Cast on 10 stitches and join into a round. Repeat the pattern 5 times per round. Use stitch markers to keep the repeats separate, and as each motif is complete place all its stitches on waste thread with the markers. Connect the 8 motifs in a circle: place the stitches of the 1st and 2nd repeats on stitch holders. Graft the stitches of the 3rd repeat of one flower to the stitches of the 5th repeat of the next flower. Place the stitches of the 4th repeat onto a stitch holder. The 4th repeat faces into the center of the oval; the 1st and 2nd repeats form the outer edge of the oval.

Put the 184 stitches from the stitch holders in the center onto a circular needle or double-pointed needles. Knit one round. Then knit according to Chart B, repeating the pattern twice in the round. After the 27th round graft the remaining stitches together in the center, to form a center seam.

Place the 368 stitches around the outer edge on a circlar needle and knit one round. Knit Chart C 16 times in the round, and knit one more round. Purl 9 rounds. The use a crochet hook to join 4 stitches at a time with a single crochet; chain 12 stitches between the single crochet decreases.
