Arthur/Anita
Size: 123 cm wide, 148 cm long. Material: 375 g medium-weight banana-colored synthetic silk crochet thread, and size 2.5 knitting needles(old German size).
Knit the center part (chart A) flat. Cast on 4 stitches and follow the chart. Purl the return rows. Slip the first stitch of every row purlwise. Where there are double yarn overs, in the next round purl the first loop and knit the second loop.
After the 115th round, keep the last 4 stitches on the needle, pick up 58 stitches from the slipped-stitch edge and make a yarn over after each stitch you pick up. Pick up one stitch from each of the 4 cast-on stitches and pick up 58 edge stitches on the other side of the oval, adding a yarn over after each picked-up stitch. Total: 240 stitches in the round. Purl 4 rounds. Then knit the border following chart B. Repeat the chart ten times per round. Knit the rounds not shown on the chart. From round 83 repeat the pattern 70 times per round. In the last round (179) bind off with a crochet hook, making each decrease with a single crochet and chain 11 stitches after each decrease. Block into an oval shape.

Remember:
- Feel free to download and use the charts, print copies for your own use. However, you may not print them out and share them with others. Send folks to my website so they can download for themselves.
- I don't own the original pattern, but I do own my recharted version. So, please don't copy my charts and claim them as your own or publish them under your name. If you want to have your own charts, then find the original patterns and rechart them yourself!
- Do not sell copies of these charts. If I don't charge for my recharts, you certainly shouldn't charge for my recharts!
